Ercall Wood Academy proudly hosted its third annual Christmas Afternoon Tea, welcoming older members of the local community for an afternoon of festive celebration, entertainment, and connection. This much-loved event has become a highlight of the academy’s calendar, reflecting its commitment to community engagement and bringing generations together during the festive season.

Guests included local residents, grandparents, family members, and residents from nearby care homes, all of whom were treated to a warm and festive atmosphere. The afternoon included a Christmas-themed afternoon tea, lovingly prepared and served by Ercall Wood Academy students. From festive sandwiches to sweet treats, the menu showcased the students’ hospitality skills and attention to detail.

Adding to the magic of the day, the Performing Arts Department delivered an outstanding Christmas showcase, featuring a variety of acts that delighted the audience. Guests enjoyed festive musical numbers, choir performances, dance routines, and even gymnastic displays, all performed by talented students who worked tirelessly to ensure the event was memorable.

Mr. Nicholas Murphy, Principal, said: “This event is a highlight of our year and a wonderful way to bring our community together. We are so grateful to our local community for joining us, to our staff for their hard work in organising the event, and to our students for preparing the afternoon tea and showcasing their incredible talents. Their efforts made this a truly memorable occasion.”

The Christmas Afternoon Tea is more than just an event, it is a celebration of kindness, creativity, and community spirit. Ercall Wood Academy is proud to continue this tradition and looks forward to welcoming guests again next year.
